ABOUT ME

 

Shelly Flanagan is an author/photographer who resides in Fort Collins, Colorado.  A native of Colorado, Flanagan spent her college years in Kansas.  She attended Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, graduating with a degree in Communications and emphasis in Business and Physical Education.   She attended Benedictine on an athletic scholarship and while there was the sports editor of the college paper and worked in the Sports Information Office covering events and reporting to all the regional newspapers, radio and television stations.  Upon graduation she returned to Fort Collins to complete her Masters of Education with English Teaching Certification at Colorado State University. 

After teaching for four years in the Denver metropolitan area, she began a 25 year career in customer service, logistics and transportation working for Coca-Cola Enterprises, and most recently, Cintas.

Flanagan has authored two books, “Hare For A Grait Thyme” and “A Setting Sun Makes For a Hard Good-bye.”  She continues to work with her passions in writing and photography trying to show the fun and brighter days in life.  Whether it is shooting photos at a children’s party, local events, beautiful scenery, or writing about an event, living in Colorado definitely gives her many opportunities to enjoy the beauty of her surroundings.
